If I had all the money in the world… [Fragile Future]

fragile-future

…I would be happy spend it on Design Drift’s ‘Fragile Future’ lightsculpture.

“Fragile Future is about the amalgamation of nature and technology.
In the distant future these two extremes have made a pact to survive. Fragile Future combines an electronical systems with real dandelions in a lightsculpture that is predestined to overgrows a surfase. Electronics are driven by the natural survival instincts. The fragile installation protects itself by pretending to be out of order when someone comes too close (optional). This is the same mechanism as a poppy that drops its petal when you pick it, or a ladybird that acts as dead in your hand when caught.”

Doesn’t this look like it’s straight out of a magical fairy tale?

Dreams of flying.

This is a concept I’ve been wanting to try for a long time… I just haven’t figured out how I can get myself safely to this point of view and I might need a few people willing to model… Maybe a project for the future, preferablywhen I have no deadlines or finals waiting for me?  I’ll try to give it a shot in a month or 2. (Yes, it’s that long until I finally will have some sparetime!)
